OUR STORY
Kerrie Molloy is Her Shed’s founder and principal designer. Born in Melbourne, Kerrie began her career in IT and spent over 20 years in the corporate world travelling extensively. The opportunity to see the world and experience different cultures spurred Kerrie’s appreciation for design and particularly beautiful bed linen.
In 1999 Kerrie and her Canadian partner returned to Australia and in 2003 she embarked on a career change, enrolling in Design History at RMIT which lead to work in interior design. In 2007 Kerrie relocated to Newrybar, near Byron Bay where she managed a clothing and bedding boutique. In 2009 the opportunity to take over that business arose and Kerrie launched Her Shed.

We are passionate about the small details - from choosing the finest fabrics to hand finishing with traditional embroidery, stitching and embellishments. We believe in creating durable, timeless pieces that you'll have for a lifetime and can pass down through your family knowing they will endure.
Kerrie oversees each step of the process, from design to manufacturing, working with small ateliers in Vietnam and India. This approach to creating every product allows Her Shed to consult with our customers and create collections that fulfil their styling needs, seasonal colour requests and fabric preferences.

Her Shed collaborates directly with talented craftspeople in Vietnam and India to bring our collections to life. We help support family cottage industries that uphold ethical business practices and prioritises environmental sustainability. Our focus is on handcrafted, premium-quality pieces over volume and fast production.
From start to finish, each piece is crafted with integrity. We carefully choose colours and fabrics that will always be in style and source the finest linen, cotton, silk, and silk velvet for our collections. Every piece is then slowly and lovingly hand-finished and embroidered with unique details you won’t find elsewhere.
